Coney Waffle

With temperatures in the high 90's lately, it's imperative to stay as cool as possible.  So to cool ourselves down, me and the fam took a ride down to Belmar beach to treat ourselves to a sweet treat. We went to a place called Coney waffle. They had everything sweet you could ever imagine. A variety of ice cream flavors, Ice cream with waffle cones, Waffle sandwiches, chocolates, sour candy, cotton candy, ring pops, rice Krispy treats. EVERYTHING.

           

  

My mum and I decided to get something to share, to lower our chances of a sugar overload. However being the indecisive person that I am, making a decision on one thing was challenging. With about a 15 min or so wait, we finally decided on a Wonder wheel shake. A cookies and cream shake topped with candy covered pretzels, rainbow ribbon candy, a waffle cone, a waffle sandwich, cotton candy, finished off with whipped cream. Of course after snapping a few pics, it was time to taste this magical concoction. I highly anticipated tasting the waffle so after getting a couple good shots, the waffle blessed my taste buds. A blessing is EXCATLY what it was. The whole experience tasted like a blessing, the pretzels were BLESSED, the milkshake was BLESSED, the ice cream was BLESSED,  and of course the ribbon candy was BLESSED. I'm usually not a big fan of cotton candy but this wasn't the traditional flavor, it was more fruity. Of course we couldn't finish the entire thing but we definitely made a pretty good dent in it. To end our day trip we took a walk on the boardwalk to burn a few of the calories we just earned, and to enjoy the serene sound of ocean waves crashing. Overall it was a good day and a dollar well spent.  What's some of your favorite summer treats to indulge in?
